This pattern is made in a ragdoll style, separate pieces are worked flat and then joined together to create finished cushion.
For the purposes of this pattern the chain stitches do not count as stitches, unless otherwise instructed.
Both a colour chart and written instructions have been used to make this pattern as easy as possible to follow.
This pattern used intarsia crochet technique for the colour work. E.g. for the front panel two colours are worked simultaneously.
This pattern uses American crochet terminology.

Assembly
You will now be joining the front and back panels together.
Place front and back panels together, matching up the sides and wings. It is helpful to use stitch markers to do this. Make sure the front of your penguin is facing outward, towards you.
Starting at the bottom left corner, re-attach black yarn and begin single crocheting around the edge of both panels.
Begin stuffing your penguin once you have crocheted around 2/3 of the edge. Continue topping up the stuffing as you go.
When you get back to the start, finish with a SS and FO. Weave in your end.
Sew the beak to over rows 13-17 centrally.
Sew the cheeks over rows 14-15, just either side of the eyes.
Sew the feet over rows 33-35, with approximately 4 stitches between.
Sew bow to the top.
